Stolen Goods

We have had two garden burglaries this year, in March and July. My favourite sculptures and monuments have been stolen, and any help you can give me in recovering them would be a godsend.

They are illustrated here.

‘Flora’ is an 18th century French lead figure 142 cm high. She stood in the centre of the walled garden and gently conducted the seasons.

The Wrestlers is a reproduction in lead, of a famous Roman sculpture, 76 cm long.

The armillary sphere, in bronze, measuring 153 cm high, stood on a late 17th century Portland stone base 102 cm high.

The cast-iron white-painted bench is 122 cm wide (and probably has more sentimental than intrinsic value).

Other loot was two Chilstone gothic planters and four red polished granite columns 25 cm diameter at the base and about 152 cm high. More strangely (and one wonders what kind of thieves they are) they broke into the potting shed to take, not tools, but all our seeds and fertilizers.

The police have significant clues and we hope to catch the villains, but I am most anxious to trace the loot. Please get in touch if you can help in any way.
